I knocked off work early last evening to take a leisurely walk with Bruce around our neighborhood. Astoria is such a mish-mash of architectural styles, but one thing that is common this time of year is the profusion of flowers growing in the postage-stamp sized front yards of the many row homes and apartment buildings. Hydrangeas are my personal favorites, and bright pink seems to be the color of choice this year.
I just love how that one red rose looks like it’s trying to escape!
We ended up at Astoria Park, which is right on the East River, with wonderful views of the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
