Labor Day has come and gone, and that can only mean one thing: NY Fashion Week is almost here! In anticipation, I’ve been spending time perusing this book which has been on my shelf for a while but I haven’t looked too closely at until now. It really is fantastic! What I especially love is that not only does it contain all the iconic photos, but there are so many pictures of just regular folk in all their finery. Gives you such a great sense of what “real people”, as well as celebrities, were wearing through the decades. And it’s fun to see certain fashions and wonder what they were thinking, and others that still look so modern. I highly recommend it.

Fashion Indie Week Brooklyn starts today, and the kickoff event looks like great fun! A runway show on the Brooklyn Bridge!! Sigh…wish I had time to go…
